Definition of Langit Lupa
Langit is the Filipino word for “heaven” and lupa is “earth”. The game’s name describes how the chaser cannot reach players how are elevated from the “earth”. Langit lupa is one of the best Philippine Traditional Games. Before, technology was not yet introduced to the children and so, having the creative mind of the young filipinos, they had created such a enjoyable game called Langit Lupa.
How to Play
In Langit-Lupa, one player is "it" and tries to tag the others who are running around on Earth. Players can run to Sky (a raised area) to be safe, but they can only stay there for a few seconds before returning to Earth. If a player is tagged on Earth, they are out or become the new tagger. The game continues until everyone has had a turn being "it."
